Meet the TXINS Team – Kirby Wrobliski

Meet Kirby, one of the newest members of the Traditions Insurance Services team. Kirby joined TXINS/Traditions in May 2014 and has settled in quickly. Her positive attitude is contagious and her background in farming and ranching is a wonderful resource for her clients. Kirby is a real go-getter and we are so happy she is a part of the TXINS family!

  1. How long have you been with Traditions Insurance Services?

I started with Traditions in May 2014. I’m excited to celebrate my year anniversary in a few months!

  1. What is your favorite thing about working for Traditions?

The ability to be yourself is really great. Everyone who works at TXINS and Traditions Insurance Services has their own unique quirks. The office is a melting pot of personalities, which enables us to be creative and spontaneous.

  1. Do you have any hobbies?

My absolute favorite thing to do is travel. Two years ago I had the privilege to visit the United Arab Emirates for 10 days. Since that trip I’ve been hooked on learning about different cultures and customs around the world. My other hobbies include cooking, water sports, and listening to music.

  1. Tell us about your family.

I have been happily married to my husband David for a little more than a year. We both have full-time jobs but also farm 300 acres of row-crop and have a small cattle operation of about 100 head. We don’t have any human children yet so our “kids” include a dog named Tipsy, a cat named Chet, a potbelly pig named Stan, and two orphaned calves named Bella and Lightening.

  1. What are some of your favorite things?

My husband and I really enjoy cooking together. We have a garden and are lucky enough to have fresh vegetables year around. In the spring we plant tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, squash, cucumbers, okra, onions, potatoes, watermelon, and cantaloupe. In the fall we have carrots, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower. Having fresh fruits and veggies is wonderful!

If I had to pick a favorite cuisine it would be Italian. Chicken Alfredo is my favorite dish.

  1. If you could have any superpower, what would you choose?

I would want the ability to never need sleep. There are so many things in this world to see and experience and there just isn’t enough time to see it all.

  1. What did you want to be when you grew up and why?

Growing up I always wanted to be a veterinarian. It wasn’t until I actually worked for a vet that I realized that it wasn’t for me. I realized I would much rather care for animals as a hobby rather than as an occupation.

  1. What is one goal or dream that is still on your bucket list?

I would love to be able to visit all 7 continents, including Antarctica. So far I have experienced North America and South America. I have a lot of traveling to do!

  1. Favorite place to relax and unwind?

My favorite place to relax and unwind is in a cattle pasture. Having the cows surround me waiting for a handout is very peaceful.

  1. What words do you like to live by?

I like to live by the rule “if you can’t have fun, don’t go”. When my husband and I were first dating I would tend to get worked up when things wouldn’t go my way. He has always told me “don’t sweat the small stuff”. He helps me keep things in perspective.

  1. If you had 3 wishes, what would you wish for?
  • Find a cure for cancer
  • To be finished remodeling my house
  • To be debt free
